What is Applique?
Often referred to as varsity lettering sweatshirts or collegiate hoodies. applique is a unique way to customize any garment for your North Vancouver School, grad wear, business, club or event. Applique is best known on university sweatshirts as cut-out letters in felt or twill that are sewn onto the front of the sweatshirt. It is a form of decorative embroidery used to enhance the appearance of lettering or shapes. This is done by attaching smaller pieces of fabric to a larger piece, the background fabric to create depth and dimension. Usually, the materials used contrast in colour or texture to make your design stand out. We can create single or double-layered applique on a wide variety of garments, particularly sweatshirts. Our Applique Process
Our applique is all designed and created in-house by our team of design experts right in North Vancouver. This means we are able to adjust your project to your exact specifications including the size, style and complexity. Once our team has finalized your design, and you are happy with the colours, style, size and garments, we begin cutting out the fabric for your design with our laser engraver. Then we attach it to your garment of choice using both durable polyester thread and high-quality glue. Once we have triple-checked your custom apparel to make sure it meets our high standards, we package it and ship it straight to your door in North Vancouver, at no extra charge. Great service and printing! We used GetBold to print our swim club's uniform after a very disappointing experience with another print shop last year. The difference was noticeable. GetBold was able to match the colour of the print and deliver earlier than I needed it. The quality of the print was also better than the other shop as well.
The online ordering system allowed for easy quotes without multiple emails. The mock up and invoices they sent was clear and understandable.
We used their printing and embroidery services. We will continue to use GetBold for future orders as well.
